Albert Atherton's Purdue University calendar

Scope and Contents The Albert Atherton Purdue University calendar is a monthly calendar which features photographs of the Purdue University campus, along with the dates for each month in 1917. The cover is made of leather and is embossed with the griffin, "Purdue" and 1917. The pages are held together by strips of leather, with holes punched through the pages.

Some ephemera, primarily Christmas gift tags and cards collected by Johnson, are included.  A constitution and program for the The Art Club of Lafayette, Indiana, 1912-1915, is included in the collection.

Lawrence A. Downs papers

Eugene Cernan's Framed Compilation of Flags and Patches, Carried to Moon on Apollo 10

Scope and Contents One framed artifact containing a small American flag, two space mission patches (Gemini IX, Stafford-Cernan) and (Apollo X, Stafford-Young-Cernan), a Purdue University Centennial Year flag (1869-1969), and a note from astronaut Eugene Cernan, "These flags and patches were carried to the moon on Apollo 10. Presented to the faculty and students of Purdue University by Commander Gene Cernan. My sincere thanks to all at Purdue for helping make this accomplishment possible." (Signed by Eugene Cernan)

Anne M. Lutz papers

Scope and Contents The Anne M. Lutz papers document Lutz' professional work in the field of genetics and her personal experiences while on a work trip to Belgium. Lutz was an early female scientist and genetics researcher who specialized in documenting chromosomes in plants. She was an expert in the area of chromosomes of Oenothera mutants and hybrids and has been credited with discoveries relating to the double chromosome theory. The collection includes diaries and publications written by Lutz.

World's Fair Purdue Alumni Registers collection

Scope and Contents The World's Fair Purdue Alumni Registers collection contains three registers from the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, Panama Pacific International Exposition, and Century of Progress World's Fair showcases. Alumni that visited the fairs were encouraged to sign the registers. Notable signatures include Eulora Miller, Purdue's first female graduate, in the Panama Pacific register and President Theodore Roosevelt in the Louisiana Purchase Exposition register.

John S. Wright papers

Scope and Contents The papers of John Wright are comprised of notebooks, financial records (one ledger and additional receipts), publications, and photographs which document John Wright's time as a student at Purdue University, and material from his career as a botanist and drug inspector for Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, Indiana.
