Purdue Circus photographs

Scope and Contents The Purdue Circus photographs (May 5, 1916) documents the 1916 Purdue Circus festivities. Though circus-related events ran throughout the day and into the evening, the sixteen (16) photographs included on the two scrapbook pages in this collection -- taken by Purdue Pharmacy student Merritt Tam -- only document the parade through downtown Lafayette on the morning of May 5, 1916. Purdue Memorial Union records

Scope and Contents The Purdue Memorial Union records contain information regarding the construction of the building, its uses, and promotional materials throughout its existence, including the student petition to raise funds and encourage the Board of Trustees to finish the building when construction was delayed due to World War I. Several pamphlets contain floor plans of the Union and show how the building has changed over the years with new additions.
