Scope and Contents

This collection consists of a set of five tin cups/mugs that are part of a Class of 1910 50th Anniversary collection.  Each metal cup is decorated with scenes of Purdue and the class of 1910 crest. The postcard shows the "Marmora," one of the famous "Eddy Clocks" locotmotives. It became part of the Railway Museum at Purdue University in 1907. The Purdue Collection was transferred to the National Museum of Transport at St. Louis in 1951.

Scope and Contents The letter dated July 24, 1965 is from Roger Chaffee to his parents. On the reverse is a July 25, 1965 note from Martha Chaffee to her in-laws in which she signs, "Roger, Martha, Sheryl and Steve." In the letter, Roger discussed an upcoming flight and the astronaut's rotation as capsule communicator (CAPCOM). He mentions Gus Grissom, Gene Cernan, Jim McDivitt, Buzz Aldrin and Dave Scott. Both Roger and Martha discuss recent family activities at home. The Collection of Purdue University postcards (1900-2007) documents the changing landscape and buildings of Purdue University over time. Each postcard has been given a unique number and then assigned a subject heading. This is an active collection which will be added to over time.

Scope and Contents The Purdue Club of Chicago records consist of three guest registers (1921-1955) that include handwritten names, addresses, graduation years, and phone numbers for members attending various events.
