Included are photographs, clippings, and correspondence. Of note are a desk diary from 1953 and letters of disappointment from friends and colleagues learning of Cornish's replacement as aeronautics director in 1953.

Scope and Contents This subseries includes awards, certificates, and framed objects that Cornish received over his extensive career and numerous accomplishments as a pilot. His posthumous induction into the International Forest of Friendship occurred in 1997. Of note is his Guinness World Record award for being the oldest actively flying pilot at the age of 96 years, 279 days as of August 16, 1995.
