Biographical Information

Lynn A. Scipio received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1888. The following was taken directly from the Debris (Purdue yearbook), page 38, 1938. It is on a page devoted to prominent Purdue alumni: "L.A. Scipio..1888..secured teaching position at University of Nebraska..accepted job developing engineering school in Turkey in 1912..school barely survived the war..after war students became more numerous and college improved..all technical education is given in the English language..carries on considerable work as consulting engineer in Greece..has been dean of engineering school of Istanbul American College for twenty-six years."
