Scope and Contents
This sub-series includes documents, pamphlets, photographs, planners, and electronic media related to professional activities May was involved in during her lengthy career at Purdue University. This includes conferences, residencies, programs May was involved in, and book contracts. Of note are materials on the e-journal May co-edited, First Opinions, Second Reactions, her involvement in the Old Master's Program at Purdue, and the creation of the Lloyd Alexander Essay/Scholarship award. Correspondence related to conferences and programs can be found in series two.

Access Information
The majority of sub-series three is open for research. Three folders related to grant proposals, in addition to one folder containing letters of recommendations, have both been restricted for 75 years after their creation date for privacy reasons. One document in Box 10, Folder 27 has been replaced with a redacted version due to the presence of personal identifying information. The original document is restricted until 2064.
