Materials are in both physical and electronic format and include correspondence, speeches, presentations, and personal notes relating to Colwell's professional career and involvement in events and symposiums; articles, magazines, posters, programs, newsletters, manuscripts, and publications created or collected by Colwell; articles, interviews, and biographical information about Colwell and her career; honorary degrees, awards, and invitations including those from President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton in recognition of Colwell's accomplishments; and information packets, agendas, programs, strategic plans, briefs, reports, planning documents, and optical disks related to Colwell's participation on advisory groups, boards, and committees for national and international organizations, institutes, and government agencies.
