The Clarence B. Richey papers (1940s-1990s) document the professional and scholastic career of Clarence B. Richey. This material includes audio-visual recordings for performances given by various groups within the Black Cultural Center's Performing Arts Ensembles, including but not limited to Black Voices of Inspiration, Jahari Dance Troupe, and New Directional Players. Also included are audio recordings of the Black Cultural Arts Festival, poetry readings, and concerts performed by various non-Purdue affiliated university and black choral groups.

The audio visual series contains photographs, PLAID views, overhead transparencies, and a 16mm film. The photographs and overhead transparencies are about STS-49 and focus on Thuot and his training underwater for the mission. The PLAID views and overhead transparencies seem to be used for presentational purposes. Additionally, this series includes 23 VHS tapes and 12 DVDs about STS-36, STS-49, and STS-62.
