Scope and Contents The Purdue University Archives and Special Collections Oral History Program collection documents the history of Purdue University. The collection consists of recordings and transcripts of oral history interviews conducted with individuals associated with Purdue University.

Content Description Materials created about the University Affiliation Program between Purdue University and Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria from 1984 to 1992. It was a professor exchange program held every year from, 1986. The collection includes correspondence between Purdue and Ahamdu Bello, books owned/given to Purdue Professors during their visit to Nigeria, a cap, air tickets of the trip, evaluation reports, funding documents, and other educational materials.

Scope and Contents The William Richards Collection on Walter Pahnke (1952-1972; 0.2 cubic feet) contains materials collected and donated by William Richards that document the life and work of his close colleague, Walter Pahnke. It includes some of Pahnke's important academic writings, copies of personal manuscripts, some biographical information, writings by his wife (Eva Sontum Pahnke), and materials memorializing his untimely passing.

Scope and Contents The Purdue University Public Records Administrator records (1898-1988; .5 cf) includes four personnel files of notable Purdue University faculty or staff: Herbert C. Brown, Amelia Earhart, Lillian Gilbreth, and Andrey Potter. There is also a ledger concerning hours worked by Purdue University staff from 1898-1904, and a record of the state Field Examination of Purdue financial records from 1942-1943.
