Scope and Contents Series includes photographic and audio materials belonging to Helen Bass Williams. Materials include photographs of Helen Bass Williams and persons close to her, civil rights activism in the South, and her career and work at Head Start, Mississipi Action for Progress, and Purdue; as well as negatives and audio recordings from her time at Tougaloo College and Purdue University.

Scope and Contents Sub-series includes photographs from Williams' time at Purdue University and an audio recording. Photographs depict Williams around campus and at speaking engagements, as well as photographs of students and notable persons. Photographs of significance include Williams speaking at a campus protest and a Martin Luther King Jr. ceremony, as well as photographs of a student civil rights leader and Dick Gregory.
