Faith Wayne Pearson papers
Abstract
This collection includes clippings and articles pertaining to Pearson’s aviation activities while at Purdue, as well as her involvement in the Purdue engineering program, with the debate team, the WBAA campus radio station, Alpha Chi Omega, her acquaintanceship with Dr. Lillian Gilbreth, and her employment in the campus bookstore. The collection also includes one photograph of Pearson, circa 1995, a speech she composed detailing some highlights of her life and career, and a copy of her autobiography, The Faith Wayne Pearson story.

Biographical Information
Faith Wayne Pearson was born in Monroeville, Indiana, to Joshua and Roxie Wayne. She received her Bachelor of Science from Purdue University in 1942. She began her career as an analytical engineer for Hamilton Stand Division UTC, and subsequently worked in a variety of leadership postions at different companies, including United Steel, Connecticut General Life Insurance Company, and the town of Wethersfield, Connecticut. She has also served in a variety of speaking and teaching engagements, including at Yale in 1978.
