Biographical Information
Carey K. Ganong was Professor of Economics at Purdue. He was a native born Canadian and received most of his education in Canadian institutions. His B. A. degree was obtained from Acadia University and his M.A. from the University of Toronto. In 1931 he obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin.
Before beginning his teaching career he had several years of experience in newspaper advertising work. He later held academic positions at Hamline University, Canadian Vocational School, Delhousie University and the University of Wisconsin, along with Purdue University. He held an enviable reputation both as a public speaker and an authority on American-Canadian economic relations.
