Ganong, Carey Kierstead

Biographical Information

Carey K. Ganong was Professor of Economics at Purdue. Ganong earned his B.A. from Acadia University and his M.A. from the University of Toronto, both in his home country of Canada. In 1931 he obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin.

Before beginning his teaching career he had several years of experience in newspaper advertising work. He later held academic positions at Hamline University, Canadian Vocational School, Dalhousie University and the University of Wisconsin, along with Purdue University. He was widely known as an authority on American-Canadian economic relations.
