Biographical Information
Wible Hine was born August 24, 1889 to Dr. Fred T. and Margaret (Eudora). He attended the public elementary and high schools in West Lafayette, and also obtained his college education locally, at Purdue University. Immediately on completing his advanced studies, he joined Purdue State Bank. His first position was that of bookkeeper. Within a short time he was made assistant cashier, and became cashier in 1916. He became president of the bank in 1947 and completed forty-some years of loyal service. Mr. Hiner was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity, and he was also affiliated with the lodges of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and the free and Accepted Masons.
