Biographical / Historical
William K. Eldridge was born in Lafayette, the son of Richard and Ann Eldridge. Mr. Eldridge attended Purdue University and was the first graduate of its engineering school. He moved to Indianapolis in 1900 and had been engaged in the building industry. For fifteen years he was supervising architect for the E. G. Spink Company. At the time of his death, he was a member of the firm, Eldridge and Fox, building contractors. He was a member of the Indianapolis Athletic Club, Indiana Engineering Society and a director and treasurer of the Indianapolis Engineering Society.
