Biographical Information

Julius L. Born was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on April 14, 1891, and moved to Lafayette as a child. He attended Jefferson High School and graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1913. Born served as a lieutenant in World War I. After the war, he went into business in Detroit before returning to Lafayette, where he died in 1941.
