The Alfred J. Steffen papers contain a reprint of Steffen's article "Waste Disposal in the Meat Industry (A Comprehensive Review of Practice in the United States)" as published in the Journal of Pure and Applied Chemistry. They also contain a typed course handout for his civil engineering class entitled Man and the Environment and his outline text for the Environmental Engineering I course.

Biographical Information
Alfred J. Steffen was a professor in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering from 1970-1977. His specialty area was environmental engineering.
