Scope and Contents The Alfred J. Steffen papers contain a reprint of Steffen's article "Waste Disposal in the Meat Industry (A Comprehensive Review of Practice in the United States)" as published in the Journal of Pure and Applied Chemistry. They also contain a typed course handout for his civil engineering class entitled Man and the Environment and his outline text for the Environmental Engineering I course.
