Pilot Records and Anniversary Flights, 1918 - 1995
Scope and Contents
This subseries includes pilot licenses, records, and information on anniversary flights Cornish partook in yearly to commemorate his first flight. Materials include photographs, clippings, correspondence, artifacts, and documents. Artifacts include two pilot goggles, a pair of pilot gloves, and a pilot's cap autographed by family, friends, and colleagues of Cornish's. Of note are two pilot logs Cornish used while learning to fly during World War I and up until his last flight a few weeks before his death in December 1995.
