Scope and Contents
This series contains material created by the Purdue Black Alumni Organization (PBAO), an affiliate of the Purdue Alumni Association dedicated to serving and providing resources to Purdue alumni from underrepresented communities, especially those of African American descent.
Material contained in this series include the PBAO's newsletter 'Insights', as well as digital recordings of events hosted or attended by the PBAO, including but not limited to Homecoming, Gala Week, Alumni Awards, and the PBAO Business and Leadership Summit. Also included are webarchives of the PBAO's website.

Historical Information
The Purdue Black Alumni Organization (PBAO) is an affiliate of the Purdue Alumni Association. It was formed in 1980 at the Commemorative Conference in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Black Cultural Center and first Purdue University Black Alumni Reunion.
The PBAO seeks to "advance, promote and exemplify a commitment to diversity at Purdue and a sense of community among Black alumni."
