Scope and Contents
This envelope contains volume 3, number 2 issue of the “Proxy” dated February 1945. The “Proxy” was a newsletter dedicated to the servicemen of the First Methodist Church of Maywood. It has updates about the different servicemen such as where they are located or what they are doing. It also has updates about news about people in Maywood such as baptisms, vacations, and other exciting news like that. It is also stated that “Elmer Kern’s family has moved to Van Nuys, California.” Also included in the envelope is a small cardstock paper with the 1945 calendar on one side and “4 Things You Should Know” on the other side. This folder contains one newsletter dated February 1945 and one small cardstock paper.
