Includes one black and white photograph with the following caption pasted to the back: "MSP072601-7/26/58-CROSBY, MINN: Navy Comdr. Malcolm Ross, 38 (R) and retired Cmdr. Lee Lewis, 45, enjoy a last cup of coffee prior to launching of their balloon from an open pit iron mine early 7/25. The two men will pilot the balloon to an altitude of 80,000 feet to test equipment for later flights when the atmosphere around Mars will be observed. The flight is expected to last about 24 hours.
