This slide rule was transferred to Purdue Archives by Purdue College of Engineering on October 7, 2022. It was located in Armstrong Hall and was likely loaned to the College of Engineering by Neil Armstrong during the commissioning of the statue of Neil Armstrong as a student that is located outside of Armstrong Hall. An image of this slide rule is sculpted into the statue by the artist. Carol Armstrong confirmed the label on the case of the slide rule is written in Neil's handwriting.
