Series consists correspondence relating to the history, administration, and work of the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering.

The Clarence B. Richey papers (1940s-1990s) document the professional and scholastic career of Clarence B. Richey. Types of materials include: photo-and-slide albums, blueprints, instructional materials for courses, notebooks and workbooks, photographs, negatives, films, books, microfilm, and slides.  The papers are organized into five series, three of which have been further arranged into sub-series.

This series begins with the historical account of the school; "A History of the Agricultural Engineering Department, Purdue University, 1921-1944." There are also annual reports from 1980 – 1984, and newsletters from 2004 – 2006.
