Biographical Information

A. A. (documented as either Anthony Arthur or Arthur Anthony) Sego was born to Mr. and Mrs. Meddie Sego, Sr. on August 7, 1894, in Kentland, Indiana. He was a 1917 graduate of Purdue University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. Sego enlisted in Aviation Service, May 1, 1917, in Chicago. He trained at the Aviation Ground School, Cornell University, New York. He transferred to Camp Dick, Texas then to Ellington Field, Texas. A. A. Sego was rated as Reserve Military Aviator at Door Field, Florida. He was Commissioned Second Lieutenant, August 7, 1918.

Sego was killed in an airplane accident September 12, 1918, at Love Field, Texas. He was buried with military honors in Kentland, Indiana. Sego's name appears on the Wall of Honor in the Purdue Memorial Union.
