Biographical Information
Benjamin L. Harvey, from Lafayette, Indiana, was a student at Purdue from 1885 to 1887 and left before graduating. As a student, he was involved in the Carlyle Literary Society and the Irving Society, and served as Editor-in-Chief of "The Purdue" student newspaper. In 1887 he was president of the Carlyle Literary Society.

Scrapbook belonging to B.L. (Ben) Harvey of Lafayette, Indiana. The book was originally a ledger, with entries beginning in 1870. Later, it was used as a scrapbook by Harvey while at Purdue University from 1883 to 1889. Harvey appears to have been a student at Purdue from 1885-1888; however, there is not record of him graduating. Pasted on the pages of the ledger are newspaper clippings, ephemera, and articles related to activities at Purdue. Highlights include College Programs...
