Biographical Information
Arthur G. Bitzer was a member of the Purdue University Class of 1942. Arthur "Art" G. Bitzer, Jr. received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Originally from River Forest, Illinois, he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Arthur was a WWII veteran who served in the U.S. Navy. He was the founder and former owner of Bitzer Products Co. of Broadview, Illinois. Arthur married Roberta Miriam Craig (BSHE 1942) on February 6, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. Together they had two children, Nancy (Bitzer) Sturgeon and John Craig Bitzer (BSME 1970). Arthur passed away February 26, 2009.
