Biographical Information

Donald R. Mallett graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1931. He then worked as a high school teacher and coach in Belle Plaine, Iowa. Mallet attended the University of Iowa and earned his master's degree in psychology in 1934 and a doctorate in 1936. After graduation, Donald served as the Assistant Dean of Men and the Associate Director of Student Affairs at University of Iowa.

He served at Purdue University as the Assistant Director of the Office of Student Affairs, the Dean of Men, the Executive Dean in the Office of the President, the Vice President and Executive Dean, and the Vice President for Student Services. Mallet was also elected as the president of the Association of Naval ROTC Colleges, served as a member of the Board of Advisers to the Naval Post-Graduate School at Monterey, California, and was a member of the Plans and Policies Control Group of the United States Navy.
