Biographical Information
The Lilly family of Indianapolis includes Eli Lilly, who founded Eli Lilly and Company in 1876; his son J.K. Lilly Sr.; and grandsons Eli Lilly Jr. and J.K. Lilly Jr. The family is prominent in business and philanthropy. Their support for Purdue University led to the naming of Lilly Hall of Life Sciences in their honor.
