The Children's Literature Association (ChLA) was formed in 1973 and consists of professors, teachers, scholars, students, and librarians who wish to promote children's literature in regards to criticism, scholarship, teaching, and research.

This sub-series includes documents, pamphlets, photographs, planners, and electronic media related to professional activities May was involved in during her lengthy career at Purdue University.
