Scope and Contents This subseries includes materials related to Cornish's time as the first director of the Aeronautics Commission of Indiana from 1945 to 1953. Included are photographs, clippings, and correspondence. Of note are a desk diary from 1953 and letters of disappointment from friends and colleagues learning of Cornish's replacement as aeronautics director in 1953.

Scope and Contents This series encompasses Cornish's extensive career in aviation following World War One with his work at Aereco Flying Service, manager of the Paul Baer Municipal Airport in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and after World War Two as the first director of the Aeronautics Commission of Indiana.
