This series contains correspondence, studies, and reports on research and fellowship projects carried out by the Agricultural Experiment Station at Purdue. This sub-series contains progress reports and correspondence for projects funded by the Purnell Fund, as part of the Purnell Act. Projects documented in the collection include but are not limited to corn improvement, soybeans as a supplement to corn, livestock marketing, and kitchen efficiency and technology.
Chilean Nitrate of Soda Fellowship Progress Reports, 1927 - 1931
This sub-series contains progress reports on studies the Agricultural Experiment Station (AES) conducted under the Chilean Nitrate of Soda Educational Bureau Research Fellowship. Experiments run by the AES focused on the use of nitrate of soda as a fertilizer for growing corn, wheat, and timothy in Indiana soils.

This sub-series contains contracts, correspondence, and reports related to potash research conducted by the Agricultural Experiment Station at Purdue. Subjects of the research include but are not limited to potash as a fertilizer for corn and tomatoes, studies on the nutritional values of potash, and studies on the resistance of plants grown in soil fertilized by potash to leaf rust.
