Much of the general correspondence involves fellow astronauts and their wives, Russian cosmonauts, several presidents, and various politicians. Also found among the correspondence, are letters in regards to the development of the Purdue University Flight and Space Exploration Archives, and Cernan's and Barron Hilton's role in its development.
