Overview The collection includes meeting minutes, correspondence, handouts, newspaper clippings, and electronic media that document the Council on the Status of Women and its activities.

Scope and Contents The Newby Collection on the Arkansas Calendar Stone (circa 1950s-1970s; 4 cubic feet) documents research conducted by members of the Newby family on the Arkansas Calendar Stone. It features sketches and photographs of the Arkansas Calendar Stone, including some photographic prints by Dr. Alexander Marshack, an archaeology scholar. It also includes star maps which compare the drawings on the Arkansas Calendar Stone with the constellations of various cultures, including Hindu, Aztec, Mayan,...
