In this sub-series one can find uniform and clothing items Bridges wore throughout his Air Force and NASA careers; Air Force parade dress uniform worn at the Air Force Academy, blazer worn as a student at Purdue University; NASA and Air Force flight suits, along with an Air Force helmet; aviator jacket (leather) and officers' jacket, and a polo shirt worn while Director of Langley Research Center.

Scope and Contents The material in the first sub-series, Awards, Diplomas, and Decorations is in the form of certificates, plaques and three-dimensional awards. Some of the highlights of the awards (certificates) are Bridges' Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medals, Air Force Commendation medal, Defense Superior Service medal and Legion of Merit.
