Scope and Contents The material in the first sub-series, Awards, Diplomas, and Decorations is in the form of certificates, plaques and three-dimensional awards. Some of the highlights of the awards (certificates) are Bridges' Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medals, Air Force Commendation medal, Defense Superior Service medal and Legion of Merit. Scope and Contents This sub-series consists of the many awards, decorations and diplomas that Bridges received throughout his career. The first manuscript box contains some of the smaller certificates that were presented to him.
