Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: Roy. D. Bridges was assigned to the 416th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Phu Cat Air Base, Republic of Vietnam in 1968. Between January 6 and July 14, 1968, he flew the F-100D with the 416th on close air support missions. During this time he was qualified as a flight lead and completed 149 combat missions. He volunteered to join the Commando Sabre Operation, 37th Tactical Fighter Wing, as a F-100F pilot and Forward Air Controller. Beginning on July 15, he flew 72 combat missions with Commando Sabre...
