Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Purdue Artifact collection (1880-2000, 8 cubic feet) documents different historical aspects of Purdue University. Each artifact has been given a unique number and then organized by size, and sometimes format, in boxes. The items are of various sizes in various formats, but all have a Purdue connection. Scope and Contents Purdue anvil paper weight. Metal paperweight in the shape of an anvil with "PURDUE" stamped on each side. Top is painted in gold and the bottom is painted black. ca. 1930s. Gift from David Hovde, 28 Jan. 2008 (11/2 x 3 x 1 ¼").

Scope and Contents Sterling silver spoon. The spoon has a handled decorated with a pen and ink well, globe, an owl standing on three books, and an oil lamp. The shallow bowl has been etched with a scene of the campus drive and with this caption "Campus Drive Purdue Univ Lafayette, IND." Ca. 1920s. Purchased from eBay January 2008 (5 ½ x 1 ¼ x ½").
