Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: This sub-series contains correspondence of a personal nature. It consists primarily of letters between Benjamin Miessner and members of his family or friends. Subjects of the letters include Miessner’s time stationed in Europe while in the United States Navy, paintings that Miessner made and gifted to friends, and his daughter Janie. Also included is a letter from the Kungliga Musikaliska Akademien (Royal Swedish Academy of Music) thanking Miessner for the donation of some of his publications.
