Scope and Contents

The teaching series contains lecture notes, an assignment sheet, and reference articles that Professor Grandt had collected for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AAE) 352 – Structural Analysis; AAE 454 – Design of Aerospace Structures; and AAE 554 - Fatigue of Structures and Materials. There are blue and yellow sheets of paper that separate the various lectures, and they remain in original order. Items were removed from 3-ring binders for preservation purposes.

Scope and Contents The papers consist of research files on the history of aerospace engineering (AAE) at Purdue University, photographs, annual reports, annual research reports, curricula, student lists, AAE faculty and staff information, pamphlets, news clippings (some related to Purdue astronaut alumni), and copies of the book, One Small Step: the History of Aerospace Engineering at Purdue, by Grandt, Gustafson, and Carigino.
