Biographical Information
R. B. Cooley graduated from the Ontario Agricultural College in 1910 and spent the next two years teaching at McDonald College at Quebec, Canada. He was later the Livestock Inspector for the Canadian Pacific in the northwestern part of Canada for two years.
Cooley resigned to accept the position as Head of the Animal Husbandry Department at Rhode Island State College in Kingston, Rhode Island. He remained there until 1918 when he left to take charge of Animal Husbandry and Extension work in Massachusetts at the Massachusetts Agricultural College at Amherst.
Cooley joined the faculty at Purdue University as Assistant Professor of Animal Husbandry in 1920. He specialized in equine work.
