Scope and Contents
The Collection of Miscellaneous Facsimiles and Pictorial materials (1835-1951; 0.2 cubic feet) is an artificial collection that documents the American Revolution and Civil War eras through facsimiles of documents including the Emancipation Proclamation and the Declaration of Independence. The collection also features facsimiles of The Comet newspaper documenting Lafayette during 1885-1886. Types of materials include: document and facsimiles, a painting facsimile, and a political cartoon.

Whenever possible, original order of the materials has been retained. Some materials have been housed in polyester sleeves and all have been housed in acid-free folders and acid-free boxes.
