Biographical or Historical Information

John Allen has done extensive research in the field of ethnomycology; he has received degrees from Seattle Community College in Mycology and a degree from the Washington Technical Institute in Graphic Art. Allen also served as Dr. Mark D. Merlin’s research associate at the University of Hawaii. He has published extensively on mushrooms and recently co-authored works such as “Kratom, The Energetic Thai Opiate” with Muraco and Teonanacatl: A Bibliography of Entheogenic Fungi with Jochen Gartz.
