Scope and Contents

The Travis S. Whitsel papers include the correspondence of classmates from the Purdue Class of 1911 and other Purdue alumni and staff, documents created during Whitsel's time working for the Purdue Alumni Scholarship Foundation, and six photos of the class of 1911’s 60th reunion. Personal correspondence include letters from Guy Mackey.

Biographical Information

Travis Sewell Whitsel, also known as “Red”, graduated from Purdue University in 1911 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was actively involved with the Purdue Alumni Scholarship Foundation, aided in the creation of class letters, and helped organize class reunions.
