Historical Information

"The General Alumni Association" was founded in 1878, with the purpose of allowing graduates to keep in touch with one another. The Purdue Alumni Association served as the first entity on campus that communicated to alumni. Purdue Bulletin was the first publication for the alumni and it soon developed into a quaterly publication, the Purdue Alumnus. Currently, the Association focuses on improving members personal, professional, and intellectual wellness. In 1964, the association organized their first international tour to Europe. 2004 saw the launching of the PASE (Purdue Alumni Student Experience), which soon became the largest student group on the West Lafayette campus. This year, membership tiers were introduced, allowing for members to choose the services and activities which interested them most. A nonprofit and independently financed organization, the Purdue Alumni Association is supported by its members worldwide as well as through programs and services.
