Album contains photos of class members of the Purdue University class of 1893, each one on a matted cardstock page. Names of classmates include the following: Archibald Stevenson, '93; George Ross Ives, '93; Herman C. Beckman, '93; Mary Weakly Royse, '93; David Edward Ross, '93; Louis Walter Heagy, '93; Clara Maude Rittenhouse, '93; William Orval Thompson, '93; George Micheal Fritz, '93; Luther Henry Patton, '93; Ed Polk (Edmund/Edward), '93; John Wesley Burt, '93; Ernest Alden Clark, '93; William Eldon Lawrence, '93; Leman Edgar Doty, '94; Edgar Albert Kingsley, '93. Eleven out of the twenty-eight individual photos are of unidentified individuals. The last page includes baby pictures of Louis W. Heagy and Etta Walker and an unidentified individual.

Biographical Information

Louis Walter Heagy was from Columbus Indiana and graduated from Purdue with a B.S. in Agriculture in 1893. While at Purdue he was President Carlyle Society member of Annuals in 1992; and served as Business Manager of The Exponent, student newspaper.

Custodial History

This album was given to Heagy by his mother when he went home in 1893. It was then presented to Purdue University in September 1951, as a memento of the 1893 class.

Acquisition Information

Collection was donated to Purdue University by Louis W. Heagy in 1951.
