Historical Note
One marriage is recorded in the Bible: "Anna Von Holland of Germany and Prof. Dr. Arthur of France on July 4 at Purdue by Jas. Noel, Witness Mike Houser." This is likely a joke. Professors Joseph Charles Arthur of Botany and Anna von Holland of Modern Languages were never married and James Noel was a Purdue student, class of 1891. Houser may be Justus Caesar Houser, class of 1892.
