Scope and Contents
The Panhellenic Association records includes materials documenting the activities of both the Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Association, particularly as it relates to their membership. Records include scrapbooks, awards, minutes, correspondence, pamphlets, brochures, news articles, RUSH and Fraternity Life guides, and more. Topics of particular interest include alcohol policies, racial issues, community involvement, housing, and black fraternities.

The Purdue Panhellenic Association is a long-standing organization at Purdue University that represents 21 women's fraternities and sororities. Panhellenic is a self-governing body, with representatives from each of the member organizations. The mission of the Panhellenic Association is to promote academic excellence and promote involvement in Greek life. To achieve these goals, Panhellennic works on chapter and leadership development, scholarship, philanthropy and community service, member education, alumni involvement, and public relations.

Scrapbooks are extremely fragile and require assistance from archives staff.
Acquisition Information
Majority of materials donated in installments by the Office of the Dean of Students on August 14, 2000 and October 13, 2000. Some materials were located in the Purdue Archives and Special Collections vertical files.
Processing Information
Materials have been rehoused in acid-free containers. Original order, where present, has been maintained. Collection is unprocessed.
