The Indian Classical Music Association of Purdue (ICMAP) was formed in 1989 to promote Indian music at Purdue University and the Greater Lafayette area. ICMAP is a non-profit organization run primarily by a group of students. In addition to organizing concerts by eminent classical musicians, ICMAP also hosts various student shows, thematic events such as the annual Thyagaraja Aradhana, and frequent informal get-togethers called Aakriti’s.
