The Donald E. Williams papers document Williams' two shuttle missions; STS-51-D and STS-34, along with memorabilia from STS-1, the first mission. Also included are various mission patches and decals. The artifacts include his flight helmet, and items used in space; gloves, knife, fork, teaspoon, and can opener.

This collection originally consisted of one folder containing one article by Barrett Caldwell. Professor Caldwell later donated seventeen cubic feet of materials. The original article was incorporated into this larger collection. The collection now consists of his papers and publications, research files, audio visual materials (including physical, analog, and digital materials), and two artifact items.

James M. Johnson papers
The James M. Johnson papers document the career of pilot James Johnson (Jimmy Johnson) and his colleagues in early flight and aviation training. Most of the collection is made up of photographs. There are also newspaper clippings and three pilot's log books. The photographs show Johnson individually, Johnson standing with colleagues, Johnson in or near airplanes, and airplanes individually. Many of the photographs were taken at McCook Field in Dayton, Ohio.

Documentation and research notes from twenty personal narratives of Huntington County, Indiana pilots and aviatrixes who flew during the early to mid-twentieth century. The research notes from oral histories were used by Toni Mayo in the compilation of her master’s thesis and book, Defining Flight.

The collection relates to Janice Voss' involvement with her first space flight, STS-57 (in 1993). Included are three photographs of the mission, an autographed mission t-shirt, and a letter written by Voss to Comstock. These materials would be useful to researchers interested in the history of NASA flight missions, women in space, women in STEM fields, and space research.
